Cinelist: UX Research

Overview
The Cinelist Project is a concept for a film discovery app with a strong editorial focus, initially proposed during the Base course by Aprender Design and later developed independently. The project aims to support film lovers in discovering emotionally relevant, diverse, and lesser-known titles—especially those showcased in festivals or outside mainstream platforms.

Background
Using an online questionnaire with open and closed questions answered by 35 users, we uncovered key behaviors and frustrations in movie discovery. While 60% prefer watching at home, many still feel a strong emotional pull toward theaters. Existing platforms lack personalized, mood-driven recommendations and visibility for diverse content.
